The other memorable event in the April of that year was the opening of Paul Scully Insurance by Paul Scully and Dom Taylor both of whom had worked for many years within the same broker chain. The business quickly established a strong local presence and when other brokers in Peacehaven closed over the years 'Scully's' remained.
A year after opening Linda Grant was employed by the partners as an administrator and in 1992 Darren Short and Jonathan Fortunato joined the team. All three still work at the business and their drive and initiative helped forge the reputation of Scully's that exists today. In 2011 Joe Rodgers was enlisted and within a short period cemented his place within the business.
2010 was the year that Paul decided to retire and the decision at this time was to sell the business to a consolidator that would ensure the continuity of what had become a respected business with a loyal clientele.
