Hello, My husband and I are in the process of buying a property in Oxford, on Sunningwell Road and are trying to get several quotes for building and contents insurance; we are buying for £465,000, with a mortgage of £315,000. It is a three-bed house (with small loft conversion), two reception rooms, two bathrooms, one kitchen, built c.1900. Searches reveal that it is on a flood plain, but there is no history of flooding within the house itself. Cost to rebuild is calculated at around £250,000-£300,000.
