About the Business
Records show that our founder, Percy Weller, began advising on insurance in the late 1800s. P.J.Weller was established in 1903. From small beginnings covering horses and carts, charabancs and most of the locals pubs our portfolio soon grew to encompass many local manufacturing companies, shops and offices. Now our clients range from international software designers and property developers to accountants, solicitors, surveyors and architects, haulage contractors, exhibition organizers and a wide range of manufacturers, retailers and tradespeople.
We are proud to say many of our clients have been with us through 3 and even 4 generations. A good few of our staff have also stayed with us for many years and one of our directors is the granddaughter of Percy Weller, our founder.
In 1988 P.J.Weller in partnership with local and national Taxi Federations and Associations set up a specialized scheme for taxi and private hire insurance. We are now leading experts in this particularly difficult market.
