On 3 November 2011 (Circular Ref 2011/014), it was confirmed that North of England Protecting and Indemnity Association Limited (North) acquired MSMI (in run-off). MSMI is now a wholly owned subsidiary of North, who will manage the run-off of MSMI's outstanding liabilities.
